“The Wanted 18” is a Canadian-Palestinian co-production. The animated documentary portrays the efforts of Palestinians in Beit Sahour to create a small dairy industry during the First Intifada. As the dairy collective was seen as a threat to Israels national security, the Palestinians had to hide a herd of 18 dairy cows from the Israeli security forces.
The movie will be followed by a debate with the film director Amr Shomali and Dr. Alaa Tartir, CCDP Visiting Fellow, and professor Riccardo Bocco (CCDP).
This event is organized in collaboration with the Palestinian Geneva Film Festival, 30 November 2015, Geneva.
A summary of Alaa’s remarks during the event can be found here.
